Ambassador Questions
Money, minimums, and what happens when things do not go to plan.
Straight answers
The questions people ask once they are serious
Nobody should take on a group without knowing what happens if it does not fill. These are the answers we give on the phone, written down.
Who
An ambassador is a community leader -- pastor, Greek organization chapter president, alumni association head, influencer, or anyone with a strong community network -- who partners with us to organize group trips. Ambassadors receive travel benefits, earn commission, and help their community access transformative cultural experiences.
Apply through our ambassador program page. We look for people with genuine community influence and a passion for cultural connection. After acceptance, you receive training, marketing materials, and a dedicated Nkabom team member to support your outreach.
There is no fixed number to start the conversation. We confirm the minimum for a private group itinerary with you up front, based on the trip you want to run. If your group is smaller, we can still book your travelers onto an existing departure at individual rates, so a small group is never a dead end.
What
Ambassadors earn commission on every booking made through their network, plus travel benefits including discounted or complimentary trips depending on group size. Top ambassadors are invited to exclusive ambassador retreats and events.
No. Every traveler books and pays through Nkabom directly, with their own account and payment plan. You are never holding other people's money, which keeps your role about leadership rather than bookkeeping.
When
Nine to twelve months before departure is the sweet spot. That gives families two pay cycles to plan around a deposit, leaves room for a payment plan, and means you are not trying to fill the last five seats in the final month.
We work the numbers with you well before any penalty date. Options include shifting to a later departure, merging with another ambassador group, or moving your travelers onto a scheduled trip. We would rather adjust the plan than hold you to a group size that was never realistic.
Where
Ghana. Most group itineraries combine Accra, the Cape Coast castles, and the Akuapem Ridge, where our relationship with the Akropong Akuapem Traditional Council opens doors to ceremony and community. From there we build around your group -- village homestays, heritage sites, festival dates, or whatever brings your people home.
Still deciding? Just ask.
A short call costs you nothing and usually settles it either way. We will tell you if your timeline is too tight.
